Veenstra & Kimm Consulting Engineers opens its first office at 924 4th Street in West Des Moines, also lovingly known as “The Duplex.”

The first of many firsts. Veenstra & Kimm Consulting Engineers celebrates its first full year of being in business.

The small engineering firm is getting bigger. V&K adds nine employees to its rapidly growing team.

Veenstra & Kimm Consulting Engineers’ name is changed to Veenstra & Kimm Engineers & Planners.

V&K expands to the West Bank Building, a space roughly three times the size of “The Duplex.”

After incorporation, Veenstra & Kimm Engineers & Planners became known simply as Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. Our fleet of vans started to grow, too.

Current management purchases the firm from its founders with the goal of continuing its long tradition of providing excellent engineering services to municipalities.

V&K moves a few blocks west to its current location in West Des Moines, at 3000 Westown Parkway.

Through grassroots efforts and expansion, V&K opens offices in Coralville, Iowa, Rock Island, Ill., Mason City, Iowa, Springfield, Ill., Kansas City, Mo., Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Dubuque, Iowa, and Bolingbrook, Ill.
